Family Car Finance

More room for family life. Finance that fits.

From the first car seat to the school run, family holidays and everything in between, finding the right car makes everyday life that little bit easier.

At Concierge Motor Finance, we help you explore finance options for your next family car, whether you're looking for a practical hatchback, a spacious SUV, an estate or a seven-seater.

More space. More possibilities. A monthly budget that works for you.

Finding the right car for your family

There is no single perfect family car. The best choice depends on how many people you're carrying, the space you need, your driving habits and what you can comfortably afford.

Room to grow

Think about prams, pushchairs, school bags, shopping, pets and luggage. Usable boot space matters more than a headline figure alone.

Safety first

Look at independent safety assessments, child protection ratings and driver assistance technology.

Everyday comfort

Easy-access rear doors, ISOFIX compatibility, comfortable seating and manageable running costs can make a big difference.

Different credit circumstances

Had credit difficulties in the past? We can explore options from our lender panel, subject to affordability and approval.

PCP or HP: which works for your family?

Both Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) and Hire Purchase (HP) can help spread the cost of your next family car. The right agreement depends on your budget, mileage and how long you plan to keep the vehicle.

FeaturePCPHP
Monthly paymentsOften lower for the same vehicle and term because of the deferred final payment.Often higher because the vehicle's financed cost is repaid over the term.
End of agreementPay the optional final payment to keep the car, part-exchange if suitable, or return it under the agreement conditions.Own the car after all required payments and fees.
MileageAgreed mileage allowance; excess charges may apply on return.Usually no contractual mileage allowance.
Ideal considerationFamilies who value end-of-term flexibility.Families who intend to keep their vehicle longer term.
OwnershipOwnership requires payment of the optional final amount and any applicable fees.Ownership transfers after completing the agreement and paying any applicable fee.

PCP can have a larger amount left to pay if you decide to own the car. Compare the total amount payable, not just the monthly payment.

Family car finance FAQs

Can I get family car finance with bad credit?

Possibly. Some lenders consider applicants with previous credit difficulties. Your eligibility will depend on your circumstances, affordability and the lender's criteria. Approval is not guaranteed.

Can I finance a used family car?

Yes, subject to lender and vehicle eligibility. Used cars can provide an alternative to purchasing new, although age, mileage and vehicle condition may affect the options available.

Is PCP or HP better for a growing family?

PCP may suit families who want flexibility when their vehicle needs change. HP may suit those who want to own and keep their car. The best option depends on your budget, mileage and circumstances.

Can I part-exchange my existing car?

Part-exchange may be possible through a supplying dealer. If your current vehicle has outstanding finance, a settlement figure will be needed. Any positive or negative equity should be considered.

Can I finance a seven-seater?

Yes, subject to eligibility. Seven-seat SUVs and people carriers may be available through suitable finance agreements, depending on the vehicle and lender.

How much deposit do I need?

Deposit requirements vary. Some finance options may be available with little or no deposit, subject to lender criteria. A larger deposit may reduce the amount borrowed.
